Lesson 7 shrimp

We painted shrimp today.  Yes, it is all about following instructions.  Once we know how to follow instructions, then personal style can be developed.  This is the fastest way to learn.

We will attempt it again in color next week.

lesson 6 goldfish topview

We continued with goldfish today on the top view, this seems a bit easier for the students.  We practiced the side strokes of the fins and tail, then we put them together.  I wish we have more practice time.  The hour just fly by so quickly.

Lesson 5 Gold fish side view

We attempted goldfish from the side this week.  Some of the students have trouble with this view, next week we will paint the top view.  We need to capture the flowy tail with more practice anyway.

Lesson 4 Mono chromatic coloring

We colored our black and white dolphin with different intensity of blue.  We stroke the landscape, water, cloud, horizon, sun or moon, contrasting the stroke and leaving the blank.

Lesson 2 Dolphins

7 decisive strokes completes the dolphin. Outline is an option.  Because it is so simple, it is very hard.
We practiced on rice paper stripes before attempt the painting, but there is very little time, so even when your students are not yet ready, they courageously take up the challenge .  You may view their works on the hall way, Let them bless you with delightful conversations.

lesson 1 Fish

We attempt to paint fish with simple 1 swift definite stroke.  We then goes on decorating our stoke with details.  The demonstration seems very simplistic, but the discipline in attaining that simplicity takes drilling.
