Lesson 5 Final rose painting

This is our final lesson on Cherokee roses.  Your students have learned the strokes for the flower, leaves, stems and thorns.  They are yet to develop the sense of composition.  The intermediate stage is to copy a composition we choose, either in nature or with references, that will help the students venture into composing their own paintings deliberately.

Lesson 4 Cherokee roses in pink

We studied composition with stem and leaves.  They are to be put together in a logical way to resemble nature. If we deviate from nature, then the joy of resonance from other nature lovers are lost.  I added the 2 birds for fun afterwards, but look at your students painting below.  They were from last session and completed this week.  We will finish our pink roses next week.
